1. Who we are
Casa da Rua Nova is a local accommodation business (registration AL/1008) at Rua Nova 36–38, 7320-199 Castelo de Vide, Portugal, and is the controller of the personal data collected through this website.
For any privacy question, write to info@casadaruanova.com.
2. What data we collect
Only the data you send us voluntarily through the contact form, by email or by telephone:
- First and last name
- Email and, if you provide it, telephone number
- Dates of stay, preferred apartment and number of guests
- Any message you choose to send us
If the booking goes ahead, we also collect the identification details required by law for guest registration.
3. What we use the data for
We use your data solely to answer your enquiry, manage the booking and the stay, meet legal and tax obligations and, where applicable, issue an invoice.
We do not use your data for automated marketing and we do not sell it to third parties.
4. Legal basis
Processing is based on the performance of a contract (your booking), on compliance with legal obligations and, in the case of simple information requests, on your consent.
5. How long we keep it
Information requests that do not lead to a booking are deleted after 12 months. Data from completed bookings is kept for the period required by Portuguese tax and tourism legislation.
6. Who we share it with
Only those who need it: our email provider, our accountants and the authorities, where the law requires. This site embeds a map from OpenStreetMap, and loading it may record your IP address with that service.
7. Cookies
This website uses no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking. Only the technical resources needed to display the pages and the map are used.
8. Your rights
At any time you may request access to, correction of, deletion of or restriction of the processing of your data, object to that processing, and request portability. Write to info@casadaruanova.com — we reply within 30 days.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority (CNPD).
9. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated whenever necessary. The version in force is always the one published on this page.
